Imagine coming into a room with another person. The floor is yours. There is no judgement. There is listening, guidance, support, validation, and exploration. You get to bring a list of concerns each week. You finally have a space to admit faults and regrets without negativity directed at you. You get to walk through and navigate how to change your life, relationships, emotions, and cope with memories. You are given insights and education for continuing to learn, change, and develop. You leave that room each week without feeling the need to carry that around, knowing this other person will hold it for you, keep it in their space, and can revisit it next time with grace, patience, and nurturing.

This is what you can expect from our therapy sessions.

I am glad you are here.

Making the decision to begin therapy is a huge step. Bringing someone into your lives can feel worrisome. I am here to support you in that journey. Let’s work together in a way that makes you feel more comfortable.

This journey is something that deserves quality care. This is not just venting or talking. You deserve specialized therapy. Wouldn’t you agree?

I am a Licensed Therapist (Licensed Clinical Social Worker-LCSW). This means I went through general courses, a bachelor’s degree in social work, a master’s degree in social work, 2 years post-graduate supervised work, and passing a lengthy examination to affirm my skill set and intelligence in the field.

I have worked in a variety of settings: Community Mental Health, Group work, Adult Psychiatric Impatient Hospital, Outpatient, Primary and Secondary schools, finally finding my place in Private Practice after 12+ years of work. I am licensed in Illinois, Tennessee, Wyoming, and Missouri.

In my spare time, I love spending days at home with my husband and two sons! We have a wild little Australian Shepherd, who will introduce herself to everyone by barking incessantly.

  • My Therapy Style

It is my passion to help empower older teenagers and young adults to live life to their fullest potential. Growth and change are both scary and beautiful. I help my clients with processing overwhelming emotions, setting healthy boundaries, and communicating effectively. By taking back control of these areas, my clients increase their self-love and compassion towards themselves.

  • Not sure where to start?

I always tell my clients, “Bring what’s on your heart.” The things that your mind cannot figure out alone. We will take care working on the rest. Not sure exactly how you’re feeling or what feels wrong? That’s completely normal, too. Check out my blog- I discuss a lot of topics typically addressed in therapy sessions.
